Feliz 2011 de Barcelona

Happy New Year Saxontologists! I began 2011 at the beach near Barcelona.
I spent quality time with my dad.
And I recovered from the stress of the holidays.

On New Year's Day, my dad convinced me that we should become members of the polar bear club. So, we jumped into the unheated swimming pool in the backyard. It was very cold and I screamed like a girl.
Luckily mom had lots of towels to wrap me in after I jumped out. I already told dad that I will NOT be renewing my membership in the polar bear club next year.
Doesn't my dad look like a cool Spaniard in front of the Sagrada Familia?
I was more interested in the playground next to the Sagrada Familia....
Did I mention that I love Spanish food? I particularly love grilled Sardines and squid. I ate all this myself!
And of course, I got to eat my all time favorite...moules. This is the collection of shells that remained after one of the many moules feasts that I had while in Spain.
Went to the beach nearly every day to work on my ongoing castle project.
What a wonderful vacation in Spain! I can't wait to go back.
