Christmas=Fire Station

Santa is magic because he knows EXACTLY what every kid wants. He knew that my sister needed a doll house and that I needed a fire station. What self-respecting four year old boy doesn't NEED a fire station?
Oh yeah, I got some other presents. In fact, I got so many things that I told my mom and dad that "my hands are getting tired from opening presents."
But I fought through the pain and opened every single one of the gifts (and even a few of my sister's when she wasn't looking).

Merry Christmas Everyone!

Best Birthday EVER!

This is my 100th post to Saxontology and it seems fitting that it is about celebrating my fourth birthday. That's right Saxontologists, your messiah is an official big boy! The festivities were held at Bramley's Indoor Play Centre and a very select guestlist was invited. In fact, my mom tried to photgraph me in the play area but I was just too FAST. My party buddies and I travelled in a pack of hyped up climbing, sliding, jumping, rolling, screaming monkeys and as any National Geographic photographer will tell you, we are nearly impossible to catch on film.
After 90 minutes of unrepentant playing, we were mellow enough to sit down for 20 minutes of eating and birthday cake.
Who sat me next to her?!?Here comes my gorgeous strawberry cake. I picked it out myself!

Wishing for tools, tools, and more tools!

One word: YUM!

Of course I wasn't awake when I got home in the car. You know me well enough by now to realize that I burn hot like the sun and when it is lights out, it all goes dark.

Happy Birthday to Me!!

Bonjour Mes Amis!

Here I am with my sister and Maxime smushed into the backseat and cruising Southward! Our boat to France.
Lucky Ms. Kari got her own little spot by my mom's feet. She refused to sit back with the kids!
Maxime and I have arrived! (That's the French coastline in the background.)
Three days in a tree house and still loving it! (My daddy, on the other hand, looks slightly worse for the wear.)
Our house in St. Briac had TWO water hoses! Once I was finished squirting my sister with one, I could squirt the poodle with the other!!! Heaven.
Blackberries grow in France too! Yum.
Looking exotic and European in my tight white underpants and sexy physique!
Me and daddy at the beach!
Storytime with Daddy!
I love this girl. She puts up with all my torment and loves to play with me anyway...
My impersonation of a noodle on vacation.
Nobody said that having fun wasn't a dirty job.
Had to include this photo because I just look so cool.
Cap Frehel: 360 degree ocean views, sheer cliff drops and high winds. Note to self: do not let go of mommy's hand.
I took this photo! Just had to photograph the really cool emergency rescue vehicle at Cap Frehel. You should have seen the ropes, winches and bazillions of tools.
Me and Trixie at St. Lunaire beach.
Can you say gorgeous highlights? And it's all natural!
Oops! Already time to go home. A last minute wee wee in France with my dad in my glow-in-the-dark pjs and then home to England.
And so Saxontologists, like a rolling stone, I gather no moss. The travels continue. Next stop: New York!

My French Visitor!

My French friend (and idol), Maxime, came to visit me! The 12 year old big boy came to hang out with moi! I taught him all sorts of useful English phrases like "Saxon, calm down," "Saxon, chill out," "Saxon, sit down properly" and "Saxon, don't freak out." I like to focus on "practical English vernacular" in my lessons.

First stop for Maxime, the RAF Air Museum. Awesome. Maxime and I flying away...sort of.
After hard work picking blackberries, Maxime and I relax at the pub.
Can you feel the love? Is this guy awesome or what?
Me. Doing what I do best.
More summer adventures to come!

Alpine Saxon

Yes, it HAS been a long time my saxontologists! Of course, being the full-time, 24 7 international kid that I am, I have been busy. Most recently, I took a little time out from my extremely busy nursery school regime to go to Switzerland. In Switzerland, I rode funny little cars that dangle off of wires called telecabines. I had a telecabine of my very own in the garden of the house where we stayed. Mom says naughty Swiss children go for time outs in telecabines. Lucky for her, I am never naughty.

Good playgrounds in Switzerland too.
Dad had the brilliant idea that we should take a car train from one part of Switzerland to another. We drove the car up on the train and it started up. Seemed interesting....

....but nobody told me we were entering a PITCH BLACK tunnel that went directly through mountains and ran at 80 miles an hour for 40 frightening minutes!!!! Yes, you are looking at two freaked out kids!Lots more hiking and mountain stuff. All very exhausting and as my mom always says, I have two settings:

SAXON "ON" and

Saxon "OFF".And now, back to nursery school I return. No doubt they have been lost without me....

A recent interview with noted volcanologist and lover of all things technical, the Saxonator. (Note the annoying little sister in the background attempting to steal the limelight...)

Springtime Comes to Blighty

Good News Saxontologists! After a very long, grim, rainy, dark and decidedly un-childfriendly Winter indoors, Spring has arrived on our island. It couldn't have come sooner, in my opinion. I have become bored with every single toy I own and could not stand another moment trapped inside with those adults.Freedom!!!!

On Saturday, we went to Wisley Botanical Gardens in Surrey and mom and dad looked at the flowers. Personally, I was much more into collecting sticks.
Dad is such a geezer that even I, with my short little legs, can beat him in a race.Mom got a new camera and I convinced her to let me take these two photos. Do you see how I captured Trixie's stroller angst AND the vibrant red of the flower? Brilliant. These orchids smelled so nice. I wanted to put that in the picture.
Just as sure as the return of Spring, we witness the universal daily mantra of Saxontology: what goes up....
....must go down. Happy Spring to you all!
