My French Visitor!

My French friend (and idol), Maxime, came to visit me! The 12 year old big boy came to hang out with moi! I taught him all sorts of useful English phrases like "Saxon, calm down," "Saxon, chill out," "Saxon, sit down properly" and "Saxon, don't freak out." I like to focus on "practical English vernacular" in my lessons.

First stop for Maxime, the RAF Air Museum. Awesome. Maxime and I flying away...sort of.
After hard work picking blackberries, Maxime and I relax at the pub.
Can you feel the love? Is this guy awesome or what?
Me. Doing what I do best.
More summer adventures to come!

Alpine Saxon

Yes, it HAS been a long time my saxontologists! Of course, being the full-time, 24 7 international kid that I am, I have been busy. Most recently, I took a little time out from my extremely busy nursery school regime to go to Switzerland. In Switzerland, I rode funny little cars that dangle off of wires called telecabines. I had a telecabine of my very own in the garden of the house where we stayed. Mom says naughty Swiss children go for time outs in telecabines. Lucky for her, I am never naughty.

Good playgrounds in Switzerland too.
Dad had the brilliant idea that we should take a car train from one part of Switzerland to another. We drove the car up on the train and it started up. Seemed interesting....

....but nobody told me we were entering a PITCH BLACK tunnel that went directly through mountains and ran at 80 miles an hour for 40 frightening minutes!!!! Yes, you are looking at two freaked out kids!Lots more hiking and mountain stuff. All very exhausting and as my mom always says, I have two settings:

SAXON "ON" and

Saxon "OFF".And now, back to nursery school I return. No doubt they have been lost without me....

A recent interview with noted volcanologist and lover of all things technical, the Saxonator. (Note the annoying little sister in the background attempting to steal the limelight...)

Springtime Comes to Blighty

Good News Saxontologists! After a very long, grim, rainy, dark and decidedly un-childfriendly Winter indoors, Spring has arrived on our island. It couldn't have come sooner, in my opinion. I have become bored with every single toy I own and could not stand another moment trapped inside with those adults.Freedom!!!!

On Saturday, we went to Wisley Botanical Gardens in Surrey and mom and dad looked at the flowers. Personally, I was much more into collecting sticks.
Dad is such a geezer that even I, with my short little legs, can beat him in a race.Mom got a new camera and I convinced her to let me take these two photos. Do you see how I captured Trixie's stroller angst AND the vibrant red of the flower? Brilliant. These orchids smelled so nice. I wanted to put that in the picture.
Just as sure as the return of Spring, we witness the universal daily mantra of Saxontology: what goes up....
....must go down. Happy Spring to you all!

Tools and Dinosaurs

I'm back from my near death experience and better than ever. First off, have a peek in Dad's tool box.

Thirty minutes later, I'm still there.

Forty five minutes....

On an unrelated yet similarly thrilling subject, we stood in the freezing cold to see dinosaurs on Saturday. Here I am getting psyched and scared simultaneously.

When it came time to have a photo taken next to the animatronic T Rex. I refused. Actually, I was running away too quickly for my mom to snap a photo. Sure, sure, mom and dad said that it is pretend but it looked pretty real when it was roaring and chomping it jaws together! Maybe next year I will be braver....

Poor Me...

I hope your Valentine's Day was better than mine.

I threw up all day Saturday and Sunday, just for a little variety, it came out the other end.
Ug. Can't blog more, too busy feeling horrible.

Happy New Year!

For your information, the way you start the New Year right is to go see trains. On New Year's Day we went to a train center outside of London just as I requested. Dad didn't put up much of a fight because he felt "delicate." The night before, we went to a party and dad tried for the first and last time an elixir called Aquavit. When he rolled me home later in the stroller, mom had to keep yelling at him to "stop weaving all over the sidewalk." On New Year's Day, I accomplished the unthinkable, I wrestled my dad into submission! I was triumphant and he was...well...green.

Speaking of green, I was a little afraid of this green engine which made a very loud PEEP! before it left the station.

Can't smile for the camera, very busy riding the steam train.

Didn't I just tell you that I was too busy to smile?

Hope you got to start your 2010 doing something you like with the ones you love as well! I just know this will be a great year and I send to you, my flock, all the warmest Saxontology blessings for health, happiness and a minimum of 'time outs'.
